Fresh Vegetables from May to December

Valley House Farm gardening practices support our sustainable farming philosophy of minimal impact to the land as well as reduced pesticide usage. Mineral fertilizers are not used. Instead we rely completely on farm-generated compost to produce healthy crops.

Organic pesticides are used whenever possible although the occasional use of synthetics is sometimes needed. Pesticide product we routinely use contain the following active ingredients:

• Neem extracts
• Pyrethrum extracts
• Nicotine extracts
• Copper sulfate

All of the above are approved for organic use.

Spring Crops Include:

Summer Crops Include:

    Blueberries

    Tomatoes

    Yellow squash

    Zucchini squash

    Cucumbers

    Corn

    Purple hull peas

    Black-eyed peas

    Apples

    Pears

    Melons

Fall Crops Include:

    Lettuce

    Onions
